Honeymoon in Costa Rica

Would you like to enjoy your honeymoon in Costa Rica in one of the most impressive natural wonders of the planet? And better yet at the amazing Hotel La Mariposa.

More than a place to vacation, Costa Rica is a magnificent country to live. Full of wildlife that lives in the jungles, landscapes from volcanoes to mountains and two impressive coasts; Costa Rica will be the right oasis for those honeymooners who love nature.

The main feature of this country is the majesty of its nature, displayed in each of its corners. Forests and rainforests create the most beautiful and impressive views in this environment, the diversity of its flora is the perfect demonstration of its magnificence, since it has been protected until its complete conservation. In this way, its 17 national parks and seven biological reserves are the greatest treasures of planet earth. In addition to offering stunning views of all its landscapes, these characteristics help give it the name of the “greenest” country in the world.

Ecological preservation and eco-tourism is a matter of vital importance in Costa Rica. The Tortuguero National Park, the Monteverde Biological Reserve, and the Poás Volcano National Park are areas of unusual beauty in which all kinds of species cohabit.

In these natural reserves there are more than 2000 tree species. They inhabit 10% of the butterflies of the world and more than 800 kinds of birds, among which the hummingbirds, macaws and toucans stand out. In fact, on the outskirts of San Isidro de Heredia we will find the Toucan Rescue Ranch, a beautiful place where you will find beautiful birds and animals that you have never seen before. Sharks, humpback whales and tropical fish live in rivers and seas, and approximately 1000 types of orchids and 200 kinds of amphibians grow on the surface, as do various mammals such as jaguars, monkeys, and sloths.

Costa Rican bays are quickly becoming one of our main destinations for adventure, as they are divided into impressive entertainment areas, with a portion of relaxation by the sea and a variety of activities for lovers of the marine world and adrenaline.

In the Hotel la Mariposa the Romance can be found in paradisiacal hiding places, by sitting and watching wildlife in a forest covered with fog, relaxing together in the hot springs, at the base of a volcano or on an isolated peninsula overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Costa Rica is the main ring of the Pacific Ring of Fire thanks to its 100 volcanoes, of which only 5 of them are currently in operation. Visiting volcanic areas adds another ecosystem to the diversity of climates and activities that honeymooners can do on their love trip, with activities as atypical as comforting.

Its active volcanoes are: the Poás Volcano, which is considered one of the natural wonders of the country. In turn, the park where it is located is the most visited nationwide. It has a visitor center, basic services and trails. The Irazú Volcano that has parking, a cafeteria, bathrooms for the disabled and information post on the route of the main viewpoint. It is located in the Central Volcanic Mountain Range, inside the Irazú National Park. The Arenal Volcano in San Carlos, where you can walk trails and viewpoints to the crater, but there is no access to it. It is located in the district of La Fortuna, canton of San Carlos, in the province of Alajuela and the Turrialba Volcano, located in the district of Santa Cruz, in the canton of Turrialba, but in this, the authorities are currently working to achieve reopen some areas of it, given that it was closed in 2012 and is currently not suitable for tourism.

The Isla del Caño Biological Reserve and Corcovado National Park are two of the largest examples of biological variety conservation on the planet. The Corcovado National Park has eight habitats within the park’s territory, as well as several beaches, waterfalls and all kinds of impressive landscapes. In the second, we can find excellent coral constructions for diving.

The Nicoya Peninsula is an attractive place to visit, since on its coasts we will find fine and grey sandy beaches, cliffs, islands, gulfs, bays and rivers, whose waters flow on volcanic stone. There is an abundance of lush tropical vegetation, the result of a warm and humid climate. In the Nicoya Peninsula we can find Barra Honda National Park and Las Baulas Marine National Park.

We have different beaches and areas for activities such as rafting, windsurfing, scuba diving, kayaking, sport fishing and surfing, highlighting the virtues of Costa Rican natural spaces, both in the forest and on the coast.
